Gocha Gocha: Japanese Style Hotplate with Affordable Price

 Gocha Gocha

After Pantai Indah Kapuk, Kelapa Gading also becomes the trendiest neighborhood for a culinary adventure. Around the area, gastronomes might find an authentic local or maybe international delicacies in the very reasonable price tag. Without cutting its quality and quantity, Gocha Gocha serves Japanese style hotplate in very generous portion but still affordable.

Established in mid quarter of 2016, Gocha Gocha is founded by young blood called Vincent and his colleagues who just finished his undergraduate study in Singapore. Attempting to establish their own business, this triplet works hard behind the kitchen and finally comes out with this label. Even though they did not get any culinary background, it does not means they cannot serve good food all the time. In fact, Gocha Gocha served more than 100 customers each day. Even it could be more than that during PH and weekend.

Nestled in Perumahan Danau Sunter, this brand is quite hidden from city sights. All you need to do is track them using Google Maps or Waze and let them navigate it properly. Entering the venue, you might see a very minimalist dining area with hawker style table settings. There is a small food cart in the front and only cashier at the sides. Just call the waiter and place your order immediately for faster respond. It could take more than 10 minutes per menu to be served right in front of you.

Salmon and Chicken Pepper Rice with Egg and Cheese

Start with the crowd pleaser menu called Salmon and Chicken Pepper Rice with Egg and Cheese (IDR 49,000 / S$ 5,50). Featuring the Nicely grilled salmon and chicken cube with sunny side up and cheddar cheese. To boost up the flavor, just add three tablespoons of garlic sauce and two tablespoons of brown honey sauce. It will balance all the sweetness and saltiness from each element. Also, that cheese is the absolute winner since it wrapped all items in one spoon. Do expect for juicy, tender and creamy sensation since all is there. Also, be careful with the plate because it is piping hot!

Beef Pepper Rice with Egg and Cheese

Beef Pepper Rice with Egg and Cheese (IDR 43,000 / S$ 4,90) is also delicious and straightforward. Using the finest slice of beef results in juicy sensation as common. If you ask me to compare with the previous menu, for sure, I will choose that one since it comes with more meat. However, for those who love beef, this menu could be your mood booster for the night.

 Steak Pepper Rice

I do impress with the Steak Pepper Rice (IDR 49,000 / S$ 5,50) which comes in excellent presentation and pure flavor. That meat is fork tender, and when you bite it, it will just melt in your mouth. Usually, they served this with delicious and thick curry sauce. However, it has been sold out during my visit that time. In the end, I just used the garlic sauce and honey butter sauce for the replacement, and it still tastes good as it looks.

For the beverage, they sell some Iced Black Currant Tea, Iced Tea, or even Coca-Cola. Just ask the waiter for the availability during your visit.

 Gocha Gocha

Gocha Gocha is the best decision to enjoy Japanese hotplate at very affordable price. All menu comes in a generous portion and minimalist settings. Give it a try for Salmon and Chicken Pepper Rice or Steak Pepper Rice together with extra cheese and egg for the best experience.
