Trending Food Singapore February 2017

As I promise you, there would be a special review each month regarding what's happening in town. In February, Singapore has been invaded by more classic dishes with an innovative twist. Ranging from waffle to tempura, all set in remarkable settings.

Furthermore, all food that is stated here comes at very reasonable prices. It looks stunning, taste great, but the point is everyone still can afford it. Just bring your friends or families here, then enjoy! :)

1. Chilli Crab Sauce Tendon (Don Meijin)
Humbly introduced by Don Meijin, this latest culinary invasion hit a trending topic on many social media. With 5 types of tempura, homemade chili crab sauce, and fragrant rice, Chilli Crab Sauce Tendon is just amazing. It's crispy, creamy, and flavourful. Instead of any other tempura which is dry and hard, this bowl of goodness is just crispy but a tad soggy. Definitely satisfying.

2. Mazesoba with Soft Boiled Egg (Kajiken Novena Square 2)
Kajiken is Japan's No. 1 Mazesoba brand and recently become Singapore's No. 1 Mazesoba as well. Since Mazesoba does not have soup, the taste of noodles stands out instead of ordinary ramen. It's smooth, juicy, and flavourful. You will love the tender slab of pork meat atop that noodle together with the oozy egg yolk with the sous vide egg. Just mixed it up together while it hot and add one more tablespoon of chili oil for the best experience.

3. Flaming Hot Tonkotsu Ramen (Kanshoku Ramen)
The fine bowl of ramen. With 8-hours cooked pork broth, springy noodle, and ultra-tender pork belly, Flaming Hot Tonkotsu Ramen is definitely amazing. It's spicy, smooth, and fragrant. Lemon Curd Tart

4. Lemon Curd Tart (DW Workshop)
DW Workshop is quite smart to play with the dessert menu. Their Lemon Curd Tart is not too sweet but definitely looks gorgeous. You will love the bright layer of lemon custard which is more creamy and soft also the cookie crumble that just crispy somehow. Just paired this with a cup of coffee for an instant mood booster. 5. BAKED Cheese Tart (Westgate)
Landed a couple months ago, BAKED Cheese Tart open its second outlet in Westgate and draws its crowd once again. Offering the signature cheese tart with oozy cream cheese and soft pastry tart for unbelievably delicious snack ever. Whenever you bite it, you can feel the richness of cream cheese that is not too sweet, but slightly salty. One bite would never enough.

Chocolate Root Beer Waffles with Vanilla Softserve

6. Chocolate Root Beer Waffles with Vanilla Softserve (The Cold Pantry)
Waffle is a lot in Singapore, but not like this. If you are a big fan of root beer and waffle, then this dessert is your dream. Featuring the ultra-soft waffle with vanilla soft serve and rootbeer sauce is just amazing. It's sweet, kind of pillowy, and flavourful. Since that soft serve is hard to melt, you get more chances to take a nice snap of it. Enjoy this with a strong cup of cappuccino during your visit.

7. Jajangmyeon (O.BBa Jjajang)
Probably one of the best Jajangmyeon in Singapore. Opened months ago, this O.BBA Jjajang specialized in Korean black bean noodles along with sweet and sour pork as well. Headed by the Executive Chef from Korea, each bowl of Jajangmyeon is rich and fresh. Even you can smell the beautiful aroma of it by far. Just mixed it up together before you taste it and add two teaspoons of chili powder for the best experience.

It's not too sweet, creamy, and strong in taste. Packed in a nice glass bottle, this beverage is subtle for foodie's Instagram feed.
