Japanese food is tons in Singapore. In case you are looking for the finest one, Takujo tends to be the answer. Established years ago, Takujo has successfully redefined the quality of fresh ingredients and elevate it to the new heights. Headed by one of the best chefs in Singapore, all meal here is all looks amazing. Nevertheless, it still comes at reasonable prices.
Nestled inside Emporium Shokuhin exactly at the front row of this Japanese food court, Takujo own a very spacious dining are. Stepped inside the venue, guest can see the wine chiller including 800 bottles of sake to red wine. In addition to that, the whole ambiance has been dominated by fancy table settings with purple touch and crystals. During my tasting, the staff is all well organized and ready to taking your order rapidly. From the service perspective, they got my B+ mark.
Start with the visually appealing menu called Chirashi Don (S$ 19.00). Featuring the great combination of succulent tuna, fresh salmon, fluffy tamago, and fresh cucumber for the remarkable light taste. Whenever you dig in, you can feel the stickiness of that rice together with firm texture of that meat. No additional sauce needed since it already tasty. If you love raw food, especially salmon, this menu is dedicated to you.
So far, I have consumed tons of wagyu beef in my life. But, this A5 Miyazaki Misuji (S$ 32.00) has created a new record for firmest meat in Singapore. That layer of meat is nicely executed and fresh, then grilled over hot char for stunning aroma. They served this with soy sauce, salt, and lemon on the side. Just try it one-by-one, so you have a different spectrum of flavor. Imagine having this with a bowl of steam rice and it might be perfect.
Personally, Special Ultimate Blend Ramen (S$ 18.80) quite impresses me with the richness of that seafood-pork broth. That noodle, basically, has soaked up the richness of that soup and become a little bit soggy and smooth. That slabs of charsiu are set to elevate the overall quality of this dish since it tastes so juicy and tender. Just have it while it warm for the best experience.
Lobster Scallops Burger (S$ 28.00) is quite good. Both proteins are nicely executed with a little bit of smokiness and firmness while that bun surprisingly buttery and sweeter than what I expected to be savory. Paired with a bunch of thick-cut fries, this menu is totally heavy and packed with calories.
Back to the raw food menu, this Chef’s Sashimi Fuji Platter for 2 (S$ 88.00) is what people's love. With sleek plating, thin cut of sashimi, and multiple varieties of sauce, guest can mix and match whatever they like. Cannot briefly explain more than that since my palate does not belong to this.
End up your night with the sweetest Valrhona Chocolate Cake (S$ 7.20) that absolutely rich and moist. The intense dark chocolate flavor with buttery crumble at the bottom is what impress me a lot. However, it taste too sweet for my liking.
For the beverage, they served tons of beer, wine, and juice. Right here, I show you the Apple Juice (S$ 5.90). From what I taste, it can be understood that use green apple to create this beverage and it tastes not sweet enough. However, it still refreshing, though.
These are the ala-carte prices for the individual Signature Card dishes but those who purchase the Signature Card can enjoy all the dishes at only $99. Enjoying a total 56% of savings!
