As one of Singapore's most beautiful café, Suzette prides itself on offering the best side of its namesake, read: cake. By putting so much attention to details, every cake that they produced here is just sophisticated and unique. An unusual combination of rose and vanilla turned to be their signature collection that attracts foodies across the territory.
Suzette is a sister brand of Lola's at Kovan that established in 2016. Offering for more than 15 types of cake daily, guest can discover whatever they like right here. Nevertheless, all cake comes at very reasonable prices.
Tucked away in Esplanade Mall, Suzette own a small dining area exactly at the front of the Esplanade Amphitheatre. Stepped inside the venue, guest can experience a very warm atmosphere with beautiful cake gallery and long stand brewing machine. Surrounded by Singapore's river view and cool breeze from the palm trees, no time would be wasted here.
Start with the best-seller menu here called Earl Grey Banana Cake (S$ 8.00). A soft yet fluffy banana cake stuffed with chocolate and earl gray infused flavor is seriously delicious. It's not too sweet, but kind of aromatic and moist. I love the way they add a slice of banana at the center layer of that cake because it will add more freshness to your palate. Since it comes in very limited quantity, grab it while it last.
Set to impress foodies, Lychee Rosewater Cake (S$ 8.00) is must try. A very fragrant and aromatic cake with strong rosewater flavor and a slice of lychee are perfectly matched with coffee. I do love the moistness of each layer, but once again it's not too sweet.
If you are looking for something new, be sure to try the Poached Pear Cheese Tart (S$ 8.00). It's simple, sweet, and kind of fresh. The presentation tends to be better than it tastes.
Lemon lover, this cake is for you. Lemon Meringue Tart (S$ 6.00) is absolutely amazing. A perfect blend of lemon and torched meringue encased in a soft tart shell. It's not-too-sweet but absolutely creamy, and delicious. Even you can smell the fragrant aroma by far. How do you think?
Chocolate Sea Salt Tart with Coffee Cream (S$ 6.00) is also not bad. The strong dark chocolate flavor is what impress me a lot while that tart still soft and thin. However, it is not stand out as I expected to be.
Before you leaving, be sure to try the Hot Latte (S$ 6.00). The perfect composition between milk, espresso, and foam caught me enjoyed it much with the cake as well. With extra latte art on top, none of you would drink this before taking a snap of it.
Suzette is the must try cafe around the city. The ambiance is perfect while the staff seems to be friendly and humble. Do expect for Earl Grey Banana Cake and Lychee Rosewater Cake that taste unbelievably delicious.
