Ohsho Ramen - Value-For-Money Ramen in Orchard

Ohsho Ramen

Ramen is part of Singapore culture that always evolving. Nowadays, it is pretty easy to find a unique type of ramen with fancy platting and expensive prices. But, how about the affordable one? Does it still exist? After I take a day off to Orchard Rd, finally I found the answer for that.

Ohsho Ramen is an old establishment that is headed by the local chef. Offering a wide variety of ramen including gyoza and fried rice, Ohsho Ramen is one of the value-for-money spots for a classic Japanese meal. No GST, no service charge and all price on the menu list is net already.

Nestled in Cuppage Plaza exactly beside Orchard Point, Ohsho Rame is kind of hidden gem in town. This dingy ramen joint boasts up the authenticity with simple dining area, no aircon, and WiFi. Such a unique Kopitiam-style ramen dining experience.

Expect for the best Tom Yam Ramen (S$ 15.00) that seriously delicious. With succulent pieces of prawn, rich tom yam soup, and ultra-springy noodle, this menu is just irresistible. Whenever you slurp it, you can feel the strong aroma of multiple herbs including the smoothness of that noodle. Apart from what it taste, the presentation also looks amazing. It will be suitable for your Instagram feed for sure.

Chahan Tori Chahan

Chahan Tori Chahan (S$ 10.00) is another crowd-pleaser menu here. The rice is nicely cooked and fragrant while that shrimp is absolutely juicy. Just add a tablespoon of chili oil for the best experience.

Ohso's Dry Ramen (S$ 14.00) is also delicious. The noodle has been coated with rich soya sauce while additional mayo sauce and fresh meat on top add another dimension of flavor and texture. However, I still prefer the previous menu instead of this.

Age Gyoza

Age Gyoza

Still not enough? Age Gyoza (S$ 5.00) is must-try. Apart from what it looks, you just won't believe how delicious it is. The skin is just crispy and thin while that filling remains juicy at the core. Whenever you bite it, you can feel the right mixture of that meat. Just dip it into the bowl of soy sauce on the side for extra saltiness.

Ohsho Ramen

Ohsho Ramen is one of the best hawker-style ramens in Singapore. Each menu is value-for-money and looks good. Make sure to try the Age Gyoza that tastes surprisingly delicious.
