In Singapore, Wanton Mee is a lot. You can find it easily in almost everywhere within the city. But then, if you are looking for the great one, my recent findings might be your answer. Holland Village Wanton Noodles is an old establishment that never lacks people. A family run business that passed to the newest generation has preserved the ultimate recipe from the elder.
Normally, this food stall is not so packed since they are competing with another brand which is much more modern. But that is the reason why I choose this food stall instead of the other. Also, the owner here is very friendly.
Tucked away in Holland Market & Food Centre exactly beside fish soup stall, Wonton Mee is kind of attractive with their yellow banner. During meal time, the huge crowd from office worker is there blending with several tourists as well. If you prefer the less amount of crowd, better come on Saturday since they are still open.
There are two sizes of Wanton Noodle that you can try either S$ 3.50 or S$ 4.00. I go with the big size since the differences are not that much. They just add more fried wonton and wonton soup as well.
Those who order Wanton Noodles (S$ 4.00) might be surprised with its flavor. Featuring the ultra-springy noodle with a juicy slab of meat and handmade dumplings for full meat sensation. It's salty, a bit of spicy, and more flavourful. Just have this while it warm for the best experience together with that soup as well.
I also order another bowl Fried Wanton (S$ 2.00 / S$ 3.00) since it tastes so good. The wonton is kind of petite in size but tastes big. The mixture of meat as the filling is one that impresses me a lot. You can dip it in chili sauce for an extra heat or have it directly is good as well. Enjoy.
Wonton Soup (S$ 2.00) is another heartwarming treat of the day. The soup is kind of light but kind of meaty and flavourful. Nice meal as well.
Holland Village Wanton Noodles is unbelievably delicious. I cannot resist that these unusual findings taste beyond my expectation. Currently, I am planning for another visit to here.
