Uncommonly located at the Esplanade, Alter Ego has created a new hype around the neighborhood. In this dark space, spanning two dining area include indoor and outdoor that capable of handling around 50 people at the same time. There is a mini bar at the indoor section surrounded by the jazz music on the loop for the customer to chill and relax. Then, for the outdoor section, guest can expect for more city view and nature breeze. Some of you who happened to come for only taking a picture, better visit during daytime. Because there is a sun reflection around the dining area to boost up your image quality.
Gastronomes would be delighted by their ultimate Pizza Fries (S$ 14.00). A tantalizing menu featuring thin cut fries atop melted cheese and beef pepperoni results in cheesy and crispy sensation for every bite of it. Comes together with the homemade pizza sauce on the side, feel free to dip it to get an extra flavor for your meal. Exclusively launched a few days ago and become the trending topic now. Absolutely must-try.
It is very difficult to resist Loaded Taters (S$ 13.00), the modern Western cuisine that put emphasis on crispness and creaminess of meal to caught you mouth-watering all the time. Presents the hearty combination between crispy tater tots doused mercilessly in spicy Japanese cheese sauce, maple-glazed bacon and sour cream. It might be small in size but certainly big in flavor. We just love the heat of this light bites that has to awaken the energy and pamper the tasted buds rightly.
Nothing spells the comfort food like a happening plate of The Original Poke Shaker (S$ 16.00). The generous amount of toppings includes lime avocadoes, spiced roasted cashews and fresh shoyu salmon on top of signature sushi rice are undeniably fresh and light. There would be a delicate crunch sensation followed by a bit of chewiness of salmon for every munch of it. Then, guess what this menu cost you less than 500 calories which means delicious is no longer unhealthy. No wonder each table has been packed with this menu.

Some might say that cafe scene in Singapore is easily changed, and our standard for good food has been lifted as well. But, honestly, Alter Ego is truly the new contender who deliver that brilliant idea in a masterful meal. Each menu comes with decent display and warmth appearance that looks so Instagenic from any different angle. Perhaps, they have successfully updated the Hawaiian food heritage into much more modern and taste unbelievably delicious. Better proof it now.
