Hotel Jen Orchardgateway Singapore will be showcasing the best of Singapore's hawker cuisine this July and August with live cooking stations set up on the terrace of Makan@Jen serving freshly made local dishes and Chef's signature Laksa Fried Rice. Perhaps, if you are kind of obsessed with freshly-made hawker food, then you should pay attention to this.
We all know the key point of every dining experience located at the great ambience and nice food, yes they got both of them. A well-designed restaurant with open-kitchen system it's just remarkable. Especially they comes in Ala-Carte or Buffet system, of course everyone get more chance to choose which one is the best deal for them.
The hawker dishes served reflect the diversity of Singapore as a country. These include Singapore Hokkien Mee, which is believed to have originated from Rochor Road. Then, the Roti Prata is thought to have come from Punjab in India, via Malaysia and landed in Singapore. Also the Bubur Cha Cha has its roots in Nonya Cuisine, but has also been influenced by Malay and Indian flavours.
The best part is Chicken Satay which is juicy and tasty while it served with peanut sauce and rice cake on side. For the Oyster Omelette it's just simple and no need to expecting more from it. Meanwhile, the Laksa Fried Rice is deserving more attention from you since it taste quite delicious and rich as well.
Central to the restaurant will be more stations at the indoor area, like: Salad Bar, Dimsum & Chinese Station, Indian Station, Side Dish Station, and the beautiful Dessert Station. Actually each of them has their own specialty and no need to taste everything on it.
For the Salad Bar, you can mixed your own Salad and take every single things that you looking for while on the Side Dish Station that Grilled Prawn tend to be significant. Moving on to the Dimsum & Chinese Station, you should try their Chasiu & Wonton Noodle also a couple of Siumay. Both of them is quite good though. Perhaps, the Indian Station is specialized on Crispy Chicken Masalla and Deep Fried Seabass. Follow this guide and your dining experience would be lifted.
Last but not least, is my favourite part which is Dessert Station. There are so many options here. For those who are addicted with high-sugar levels, this one is dedicated for you. All you need to taste is Thai Tea Cake, Colorful Swiss Roll, Gula Melaka Cake also one scoop or maybe two scoop of Chocolate Ice Cream. It's sweet, rich, and visually-appealing. Does it sounds even better?
