I am a type of person who are choosing snack over rice, so this is a good way for me to replaced my meal and keep on munching my crispy light bites. At the same time, i totally impressed with their packaging. It is sealed properly and good - looking as well.

Vampire Chicken

People usually feeling confused whenever they walk unto Mulan store because it is more than 10 menus to get tasted here. Fred not, i already some of them and made some little guide for you. Bang Bang Chicken (IDR 35K) is absolutely the best seller one but it is a little bit spicy. If you like the creamy one or the most tastiest one, you can go with Vampire Chicken (IDR 35K). Technically, this two type of snacks has been cooked nicely. The chicken is so crispy and rich of flavour. Honestly, both of them absolutely impressive.
MiMo Omumurice Bowl

Sometimes, light food is not enough for some foodies. Then, all you need to do just enjoy their signature MiMo Omumurice Bowl (IDR 45K). People look this as a kids menu, but this one is your right decision to fueled up your tummy. Another option is Mulan Smoked Beef and Cheese Sandwich (IDR 40K). I do suggest you to try this at least once whenever you visit their store. Because this one absolutely brilliant and delicious. You will be happy to taste it.

Cheese Kraffle Ice Cream Mantao

Dessert is also essential nowadays. Cheese Kraffle Ice Cream Mantao is so special. The mantao is totally crunchy on the outside and soft at the core. Meanwhile, that cheesy topping seems works really well to get paired with the mantao. Unusual combination with amazing flavour. You will love this.

The Providore - Beautiful Coffee Shop In The Heart Of Orchard Road

If we talk about cafes and dessert shops in Singapore, it would be no end. Each of them always shows their uniqueness and pretend to be the best one. Just following the crowd and your quest to find a good cake will be stop here.

The Providore offer you a wide variety of desserts accompanied by delightful beverages. People who are comes into this place will see a rack full of tea cup and accessories. At the same time, they also introduce you a lot of fresh ingridients such as meat, cheese or even coffee. No wonder they have a lot of loyal customer who visit their outlet at least once a week.

As a big fan of dessert, let me start with the New York Cheesecake (S$ 9.00). The cake is simply sweet and the bright layer seems to be gorgeous. Once you taste it, you will feel a fresh lemons flavour dominated by sweet creme cheese which means this cheesecake has a refreshing twist and light flavour.

Then if you are looking for another option of dessert in this area, probably Coconut Banana Cake (S$ 9.50) could be your last decision. I mean this is a well known cake in Western countries that would not disappointed you at all. It is simply dense but airy at the same time. I can feel every layer has a wonderful - individual flavour and honestly it does not too sweet like you see here. Simple dessert with magnificent flavour.

Meanwhile, an Iced Latte (S$ 7.00) should be a right companion while you enjoy that desserts. I am quite impressed with this coffee actually. Not too strong but i can feel they brewed it rightly. All of the aromas will comes out and once you sip it, you will feel the smooth relaxing texture of that coffee.

Located at the Mandarin Gallery - Orchard Road, make this coffee shop even more strategic to be reach for everyone. I really enjoy this cafe for sure, especially they provide me a high - speed internet access makes me work as a young entrepreneur more easier. Good cafe with significant dessert.

Yamatoten Abura Soba - The BEST Soba In Jakarta!

The best soba house in Jakarta is finally here! Originated from Kitatama District of Tokyo in the early of 1950s, now Abura Soba has been expanded unto a big F&B industry in South East Asia. Literally Abura Soba means "Oil Noodles", a typical noodle that does not require a soup - base. Probably people will be a little bit confused by it is appearance, but once you try you will get addictive for it.

Walk in through their area always remind me a true definition of japanese restaurant. Not too big, but i found my comfort here. Sometimes a fancy restaurant does not impressed me a lot. What is matter the most right now is flavour and presentation. If it is not suit me well, i would not come back for the second time.

Then, all you need to know here is their Abura Soba (IDR 59K/IDR 63K) is absolutely must try! The noodle is nicely cooked while the whole topping seems works really well to get paired with that noodle. Surrounded by spring onions, sesame seeds, bamboo shots, dry seawets and slices of tender meat pork this typical noodle would be your favourite dishes all the time.

If you are looking for the spicy one, i think Jya - Jya Abura Soba (IDR 68K/IDR 72K) could be your right decision. This type of noodle is more simple. You will see a minced meat in sweet soy bean paste paired with that cold noodle. In Korea, i oftenly found this as Jajangmyeon. But in Japan, they call it as Jya - Jya Abura Soba. Same type of dishes with gorgeous flavour.

People who are avoid noodle dishes, should not be worry anymore. Just try their magnificent Shigure Don (IDR 69K) and you will be happy. A minced pork with special sauce served with hot steamy rice and poached egg definitely impressed me forever. Once you mixed it, all of the aromas will be comes out and just try it for more guilty pleasure.

Sometimes an additional side dish like Handmade Dumpling (IDR 32K) also essential. It is totally dense, full of meat and rich of flavour. Once you bite it, you will found a lot of ingridients that works really well on your mouth.

Yamatoten Abura Soba is currently on top of my japanese noodle list. They served a magnificent dishes with affordable price. I will visit this place more often start from now.

The Hook - Fresh Seafood From Arafura Sea

The Hook is founded on the belief and commitment to provide only the best quality seafood that are sourced locally. The best in terms if quality and safety. Main concern is to represent the most tastiest and cleanest seafood in Jakarta.

Pretty spacious and warmth. A big light bulb fused by rustic and classical wallpaper seems to be the main idea of their interior design. This area capacity is around 100 people. Depends on the tables setting.

Prawn Shaslik
Within this kind of presentation, usually people will love to try it. Basically it is a grilled banana prawn with BBQ Sauce. Just get some confirmation that the prawn is caught by traditional fishermen in the Arafura Sea. That is why, this dish looks like elegant and pretty unusual. It taste so fresh and delicious.

Fish Roll Satay
If you like to taste a light seafood dishes, then Fish Roll Satay could be your option. Minced grouper on lemongrass stick. Technically the fish has been grilled nicely. The whole flavour mostly comes from the chilli dip sauce. Could be entertaining sometimes.

Hot & Sour Fin Soup
A grouper's fins and tails spicy soup. People who are asking for a warm seafood dishes, should be have this. Not really special but taste pretty good.

Coconut Prawn Soup
Simple dishes with magnificent flavour. A combination between coconut based soup and banana prawn surprisingly match and taste so delicious. Once you bite it, the freshness of that prawn will be comes out while the aromatic flavour of that soup will indulge yourself more and more.

Steamed Grouper (Whole Fish)
The Hook signature dishes is right here. Basically, the fish is so smooth and fresh. Even the grounds flavour of it has been removed nicely. It then combine with soya herb sauce which is not really tasty but simply aromatic. In terms of flavour and texture, i could say it is definitely satisfying.

Prime Admiral Ribs
This one is quite spicy. People who are avoiding chilli, would not really suitable with this. The sauce actually taste pretty good but somehow for me the fish itself is not really good compared to the previous dishes for sure.

Pacific Burger
It is totally hard to find a good fish burger in town. But Pacific Burger will be my recommendation to you. Basically the patty is soft and airy. Then, when it combines with the crispy grouper filled i do think it is perfectly match and simply entertaining. Interesting idea to enjoy a seafood dishes with western influence.

The Hook's Aglio Olio
Classic pasta dishes with uncommon topping. Basically, the pasta is cooked nicely and it is pretty satisfying in terms of flavour and texture. But, somehow for me the topping is not that match with the pasta. A slice of spicy rica - rica fish grouper should be stand alone. Because the pasta itself already have a significant flavour, so if they paired it with the rica - rica fish, the original flavour of that pasta has been disappeared. All you can taste only the spiciness of that fish, and the pasta seems like a compliment.

Vanilla Pannacotta
Refreshing dessert with minimalist presentation. If we talk about the pannacotta, actually it is so soft and smooth. Then, when it paired with the stawberry compote all of the flavour has turned into good. I think this is the safest dessert on earth which means every people should be like this. Not really special, but quite good.

Orange Blosom
Outstanding presentation with simple flavour. I did not really impressed by this, but some people stand on the opposite side from me. I can say the slice of orange is totally fresh and juicy, then when it mixed with the mint sauce all of the flavour seems to be unusual and pretty sweet. They just want to do a little twist for it. However, for me this dish not really stunning.

The Hook offer you the most freshest seafood dishes in town. I can say their signature dishes taste really good, even though some of their light bites not really impressive. But i do enjoy my time here. Mingle with my fellow bloggers and keep being productive. Definitely a good place to having a big portion of seafood dishes all the time.

ST. ALi - From Melbourne to Jakarta!

Like the discovery of most commodities, coffee was highly prized, mostly misunderstood and appreciated for its medicinal purposes. We’re talking about the 15th century, here. The beginnings of the ST. ALi Family in South Melbourne in 2005 placing a strong ethos on quality beans and unique brewing methods. Then, after having a good reputation for more than 10 years, now ST. ALi has expanding their business into ASIAN countries, one of them is in the capital city of Indonesia - Jakarta. Just opened a week ago, this well known coffee joint has become the talk of the town. Probably it is still new, and the search for good coffee is absolutely here.

Classic on the cover with sophisticated details. The place is quite big, located at the office building and easy to find. Caffeine junker would be very happy to find the latest technology of brewing machine, enjoying some manual brew coffee, and trying the coffee cupping session. Fred not, it does not cost you a lot.

St. Ali Chicken Burger (IDR 135K)
People who are facing a long queues should have this. A premium chicken burger served with salty french fries. The patty is made from crispy chicken fillet and it lack of flavour. But fortunately, an additional mayo sauce could level up that flavour. Somehow, it looks pretty simple and does not fancy at all. They just offer you a bigger portion for this.

Chicken In A Shopping Basket (IDR 135K)
Well presented but not really satisfying at all. The chicken is not that crispy, but it is juicy. Then, the spices is pretty simple. I can feel they put a lot of salt and pepper on it, but i could not find the rest.

My Mexican Cousin (IDR 155K)
If you like corn and fritters plus poached egg, then this dish is your right decision. A combination between corn fritters with poached eggs, grilled halloumi, corn, cucumber salsa, kasundi and green salad simply entertaining. The crispiness of that corn fritters meet the melting egg yolk would be my favourite part of this dish.

Hot Latte (IDR 45K)
The best part of ST.ALi is their coffee. It is pretty aromatic and strong in terms of flavour. Once you sip it, you will find a remarkable aftertaste and it will proof you how good this latte compared to the other contenders. Beautifully presented with superior flavour.

ST.ALi is a perfect place to having a sufficient amount of caffeine. The food here is not that special, and somehow it sounds so pricey. I will be back for their latte or even cappucino for sure.
