I am a huge fans of this RED cake! Those 5 layer absolutely define foodies happiness. Technically, this cake isn't that sweet if you compare with the presentation. Whenever you scratch it with the folk, all you can feel is the softness of that cake blend with the creaminess from cream cheese and crunchiness of the rough cookie crunch. Definitely fantastic and must try!
2. Black Sticky Rice Cake by Nomz Kitchen and Pastry
It is sounds really strange, if black sticky rice has turned out unto cake. But to be honest, this uncommon cake has impressed me all the time. In terms of flavour, it is definitely sweet and slightly delicious. Then if you are asking about the whole texture of it, this part is definitely unique. Surprisingly the layer of cake is so soft and dense also not chewy at all. Meanwhile, the presentation of every single layer looks so perfect, an additional cheese topping on top has simply boost up the overall point of this cake.
3. Ovomilo by Colette and Lola
Usually people love to enjoyed ovomaltine or even nutella with a slice of bread and croissant. But, how if that incredible jam has been combined into one gorgeous cake? Brilliant idea! Honestly it comes from chocolate chiffon sponge with bavarian cream and milo milk jelly, glazed with ovomaltine on top of crispy milo base. Every people gonna love this. Believe me, it taste pretty good for sure!
4. Pear Chocolate Tart by Sophie Authentique
It is rarely to find a good Chocolate Tart in Jakarta. But to be honest, this one absolutely worth to try. Made from pear, dark chocolate, light cream and almond slices make it more light, full of topping and pretty dense. The composition sounds unfamiliar, but that is the main point why i recommend you this cake.
5. Martabak Peanut, Choco and Cheese by Martabak Sinar Bulan Grogol
If someone said to you, they can resist this, it is absolutely a lie. Actually Martabak is pretty similar like a pancake in few countries, but since it becomes more bigger and thick, people used to call it as a cake. Basically, martabak is a very popular local dessert in Jakarta. Our citizens always served this as a midnight snack. Since the stall itself start to be opened at night. Maybe you can find this as a hawker food. The presentation is pretty simple, but in terms of flavour and texture it is absolutely satisfying.

I do love the amazing flavour that comes from red velvet infused flavour mixed with the vanilla ice cream. A combination between both ingredients particularly match and taste wonderful.
