Tucked away in Chinatown area, Yum Cha owns a single story inside the traditional motel. It is oriental architecture surrounded by simple table settings and warmth hospitality will create a warmth and relaxing atmosphere all the time. Also, they have a VIP room that is suitable for any special event or private occasion. Knowing that this venue never lacks people, be sure to put a reservation instead of direct visit. We ever wait for 30 minutes - 1 hours only for this.
The Xiao Long Bao (S$ 4.60) is a delicious favorite. This handmade dumpling is thick, juicy with a hint of light soup and smooth skin. Whenever you bite it, you will know how fragrant this menu that results in melt-in-mouth texture all the time. Just paired with chili oil and soy sauce for extra flavor. You won't missed this for sure.
The other crowd favorite is BBQ Pork Bun (S$ 2.80), a soft Chinese dough filled with juicy and meaty toppings at the core. What we love the most from this is that beautiful harmony between the smooth texture of skin and moist texture of pork meat. Comes up in an attractive presentation, none of you would start eating without taking a good picture of it.
Fish Roe Siew Mai (S$ 4.20) is also best here. Comes up in the rich topping and rough texture, each bite would be a flavourful journey for you. Not too salty but it is just balanced as well. Since it comes in petite portion, better order at least 2 buckets for an amazing experience.
Wonton is a lot in Singapore and this Shark's Fin with Meat Dumpling (S$ 4.00) is part of its best. With soft skin and juicy topping at the core, diners can expect a dynamic spectrum of flavor on each bite of it. Even the presentation speaks better than words.
We definitely love this Fresh Prawn Rice Flour Roll (S$ 4.00). Featuring a succulent piece of prawn wrapped in soft Chinese skin results in undeniably delicious flavor all the time. Juicy, sweet, and moist is all there. Comes together with extra soy sauce and chili oil, this menu is just a perfect treat for any occasion. Definitely brilliant.
Phoenix Claw (S$ 4.20) is recommended for a culinary expert who loves to experience a new taste of meat. A soft piece of chicken feet with a hint of meat works well with that red hot spicy sauce. We found some people really enjoy this, but not all of them.
No doubt that Fried Hargao (S$ 4.00) is a magnificent dim sum menu ever. Usually, it comes in steamed version, but this time they create the fried one. Crispy skin is there packed with full-bodied toppings at the core. Just bite it to feel the crunch and juicy sensation at the same time. Does it sound good?
For the choice of beverages, we do recommend you to try the Oolong Cha which is a classic Chinese tea to remove the oily and fatty sensation at the end of your meal. But then, guest still have a choice to order other types of drinks includes Iced Lemon Tea, Iced Coca-Cola, etc.
Yum, Cha is definitely the place for having your Dim Sum fixed. There are a dozen types of the menu here which is made fresh and delicious. Since it is affordable, people from all different ages are very welcome.
